Is this race licensed?

Yes, the Half Marathon, 10K & 5K will be licensed with UK Athletics and the results submitted to Run Britain shortly after the event.

When and where do I get my results and times?

A complete set of results will be posted online and emailed to all runners on Sunday afternoon, shortly after the race concludes.

Is there a cut off time?

All courses close at 12.30pm – runners must be finished by this time.
A bus will follow the sweep runners to provide transport back to the event hub for anyone who is unable to complete their race.

What is the medical support for the event?

The event is covered medically according to the UK Athletic’s Guidelines.

The marshalls will help you if you are in need of medical attention during the race and there will be mobile medical attendants out on the course.

Can I run with headphones/earpieces/music?

Noise-cancelling earphones/headphones are prohibited and whilst we discourage the use of other earphones/headphones at this event, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a minimum volume such that instructions from marshals or other race officials can be clearly understood.

We reserve the right to disqualify participants who cannot hear instructions as a result of their use.

Will there be race pacers?

Subject to availability, pacers will be offered in the Half Marathon with target times between 1h30 and 3h00.

Where can I keep my baggage?

Bag drop will be available.

Are there any changing facilities?

There are no dedicated changing facilities.

Where can I park my car?

Limited free car parking is available at The Old Showfield

Navigate to: Frome Cricket Club, 30 Rodden Road, Frome BA11 2AH

All vehicles to The Old Showfield will arrive and leave via Bath Road to the north to avoid road closures on the run routes.

The race day car parks will be open from 7.45am to 1.00pm. Please follow parking steward instructions to get you to the closest available space in either car park, so that we can ensure maximum capacity for other runners.

Please collect your car by 1.00pm when the site will be locked.  

How will I receive my bib number?

Bib numbers will be mailed to all participants who have registered with a valid UK address by midnight on the Sunday prior to the event. When a bib cannot be mailed due to an incomplete/invalid address – and in cases where it does not arrive – participants can collect a new/replacement bib at the event. Participants need not contact us with respect to non-receipt of their bib but should be prepared to show their booking confirmation on arrival if requested.

Can I enter on Race Day?

Entry on the Day will not be available at this event.

What time do the races start?

The Family Fun Run will start at 08.45am

The Half Marathon, 10K & 5K will start at 09.00am

Can I take part in a wheelchair?

These events are not suited to Wheelchair Users due to the potential difficulty of the course. Participants wishing to compete – or those with specialised equipment – are asked to contact us before entering for further details and to ensure we can accommodate any additional requirements.

Is there an age limit?

To enter the half marathon event, you must be at least 17 years old on race day.

To enter the 10K event, you must be at least 15 years old on race day.

To enter the 5K event, you must be at least 11 years old on race day. There is no lower age limit for the Junior 1K event but athletes should be under 16.
