Volunteering

Could you help keep our running heroes safe on Sunday 20th October 2024?

Be a part of this whole-town effort to support over 1,000 runners to have an unforgettable run and raise money for a host of good causes.

Tell me more…

Can you spare a few hours on race day and make a difference to our amazing runners? Is there a group of people you could gather to volunteer from work or a group you’re involved in? With roles ranging from 1 hour to 5 hours, there’s bound to be a role you’d love.

The event hub – including the start and finish line is located in the grounds of Henley Rugby Club. A single 13.1-mile heart shaped loop takes you from Henley Rugby Club. The first 6km takes runners through the town, over the historical Henley bridge, past the Leander Club, one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world! Looping Remenham Lane, into the countryside, returning along the Thames towpath, you cross Henley Bridge once more to begin the second loop, back through town centre and out to “heartbreak hill” the famous mile long climb seen as a personal challenge by many runners. Following the descent, it’s a fast and flat run back to the Rugby Club.

What do I need to know about working or volunteering at it?

Most volunteers are only required for less than a few hours – roles are flexible to suit your availability. Depending on the role you’d prefer and where on the route or in the event hub you’re based, all the action could be over quickly or you could be at the heart of the fun for the most of the event.

Check each of the individual roles for descriptions and timings – but if you can only commit to half a time shift, don’t worry – sign up and we’ll match someone else to do the rest.

If you have any questions about timings or roles just get in touch.
